How to Clean PVC Flooring

PVC flooring, also known as vinyl flooring, are strong and durable floors. PVC flooring is usually made from natural products or made to mimic natural textures. PVC flooring is the best of both worlds. It looks like natural material, but it’s far more practical than wood or stone. PVC flooring is fantastic for your gym. It’s waterproof, mildew, and mould resistant. PVC flooring is tough enough to survive through your sweaty, high intensity gym sessions. And did we mention, PVC flooring looks amazing? It’s a chic alternative to traditional gym flooring. PVC flooring is perfect for your pilates studio or at home gym.
You can either dry clean or wet clean your PVC floors.
For a dry clean, use a broom or a vacuum to remove all dust and debris from the floor. It is recommended you always dry clean before you use any wet products. We recommend you use the gentle vacuum attachment that prevents scratches from forming on your PVC floor. A dry clean is an efficient and easy way to clean your PVC floor. If there are any stains on the floor, you’ll want to go in with a wet clean as well. Use a multi-purpose cleaning solution on a damp cloth and wipe away the stains. We like to add a little bit of vinegar to the cloth. Vinegar is a natural detergent and prevents scratches. Gently buff away all stains, scratches, and spots with the cleaning solution. Before you know it, your gym will look brand, spanking new!
How to Clean EVA Flooring

EVA is a waterproof, non-slip foam flooring. EVA foam, or ethylene-vinyl acetate, is a closed-cell foam that results in a flexible finish with a semi-rigid cell structure. EVA is a comfortable, soft gym floor that can withstand strong forces. EVA flooring is a versatile and sleek gym mat.
EVA flooring is super easy to clean! It’s designed to be as functional as possible. EVA flooring is chemical resistant and waterproof. There’s no need to be careful about buying EVA specific cleaning solutions. EVA flooring can withstand anything! That’s why we love it so much.
Sweeping or vacuuming your EVA flooring is a great way to get rid of any dry debris or dust. If you have spit something wet or there are sweat marks on the EVA floors, a basic household floor cleaner is your best bet. Use a damp mot to apply cleaner directly onto the stains. Lightly scrub the affected area until the stain has completely vanished. Don’t apply the cleaning solution directly to the EVA mats. Liquid can run down through the interlocking seams and become trapped. This can damage your floors and lead to mould. It’s best to saturate a mop or cloth and then apply to the mats. This way you can control exactly how much product you use and where it goes!
For persistent stains, you may need to use a non-abrasive scrubber on the area. Scrub the stain with a pad that is suitable for fibreglass, metal, ceramic, glass, marble, and granite. This ensures it won’t damage your beloved EVA mats. Dip the non-abrasive scrubber in your cleaning solution and start massaging the product into the area until it completely disappears. You can also remove the stained EVA tile from the gym and scrub it in your sink. Remember, EVA flooring is waterproof and non-absorbent. There’s no need to worry about water damage. Just make sure the mat is completely dry before you reinstall it!
How to Clean Rubber Flooring
Rubber floors are the most popular form of gym flooring. They are highly practical and stylish! Rubber flooring can be purchased in interlocking tiles or rubber rolls. Either way, they are the perfect gym floor for commercial and private gyms. Rubber flooring is well loved by gym junkies because it is the best at shock absorption. Rubber floors will absorb the shock from your workouts or your weights, time after time. You’ll never worry about your subfloor ever again. Rubber flooring protects concrete, wood, vinyl, and linoleum floors. In addition, rubber flooring is soft and comfortable to use. Rubber flooring is versatile enough to be used for your warm-up, your workout, and your cool-down. You can lay, jump, run, and lift on rubber flooring.

Rubber gym flooring tiles are extremely low maintenance. You can either vacuum or mop your rubber floor. Vacuuming is best for small bits of dry debris or dust. However, you can also mop the floors with warm soapy water. If there are any stubborn stains or marks use the same non-abrasive scrubber we mentioned above. Make sure you allow the rubber floors sufficient time to dry before you use them again. Avoid using harsh, chemical cleaning products on your rubber floors. Opt for something natural or gentle. Chemical solutions can damage, discolour, or deteriorate your mats.
